Which Masks Work With the ResMed AirMini? Full Compatibility Guide (2026)

Which Masks Work With the ResMed AirMini? Full Compatibility Guide (2026)

The ResMed AirMini is the world's smallest CPAP — a device that fits in the palm of your hand yet delivers the same clinical AutoSet therapy as a full-sized bedside machine. But there is one rule every AirMini owner needs to know before buying a mask: the AirMini only works with a specific list of ResMed masks. Unlike standard CPAP machines with universal tubing, the AirMini uses a proprietary slim tube and dedicated connectors that build in its waterless HumidX humidification. This guide lays out every officially compatible mask — nasal pillow, nasal and full face — explains the connector each one needs, clarifies which support humidification, and helps you pick the right interface for comfortable therapy anywhere in the world.

7 ResMed masks officially compatible with the AirMini, across three styles
5 Dedicated AirMini connector types: P10, N20, N30, F20 and F30
300 g Weight of the AirMini — the smallest CPAP ResMed has ever built
4–20 cm H₂O pressure range in CPAP, AutoSet and AutoSet for Her modes

Why the AirMini Needs Special Masks

Almost every full-sized CPAP machine — including ResMed's own AirSense 10 and 11 — uses a universal 22 mm tubing connection, which means practically any mask from any manufacturer will fit. The AirMini deliberately breaks from this standard. To shrink a full CPAP down to roughly 300 grams and eliminate the bulky water chamber, ResMed engineered a proprietary slim tube and a family of mask-specific connectors that house the waterless HumidX humidification cartridge right at the mask interface.

The practical consequence is simple but important: you cannot just clip any mask onto the AirMini. Each compatible mask family has its own dedicated AirMini connector, and masks that were never given an AirMini connector — including many popular ResMed models with top-of-head tubing — will not attach at all. Before buying any mask for your AirMini, the golden rule is to confirm that a dedicated AirMini connector or setup pack exists for that exact model.

💡 The short answer: Seven ResMed masks are officially AirMini-compatible — the AirFit P10 (nasal pillow); the AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 and AirFit N30 (nasal); and the AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30 (full face). Everything else requires an unofficial third-party adaptor that bypasses HumidX humidification.

The Complete List of ResMed AirMini Compatible Masks

Here is every officially supported mask, grouped by style. Each one requires the matching AirMini connector (available as a standalone connector kit or as part of a complete setup pack that includes the slim tube).

Nasal Pillow

AirFit P10 for AirMini — the lightest, most minimal interface, delivering air directly to the nostrils. Supports HumidX and HumidX Plus. The P10 for AirMini typically ships with its setup pack included.

Nasal

AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 and AirFit N30 — covering the nose (N20) or cradling under it (N30). All three support HumidX and HumidX Plus via the N20 or N30 connector.

Full Face

AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 (F20 connector, HumidX F20) and AirFit F30 (F30 connector, no HumidX). The only oronasal options for mouth breathers.

Nasal Pillow Masks: The AirFit P10 for AirMini

1 ResMed AirFit P10 for AirMini — The Featherweight Favourite

The AirFit P10 is the single most popular mask choice for AirMini users, and it is easy to see why. Soft silicone nasal pillows seal gently at the nostrils with almost nothing touching the rest of the face — no forehead contact, no bulky frame, and a clear line of sight for reading or wearing glasses. It is the quietest and lightest interface in the AirMini range, with a dual-wall pillow design that resists leaks, and its minimal footprint makes it ideal for side sleepers and anyone prone to claustrophobia. The P10 for AirMini supports both HumidX and HumidX Plus waterless humidification, and its setup pack is usually bundled with the mask. Best for: nasal breathers, minimalists, side sleepers, low-to-moderate pressures.

Nasal Masks: AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 & AirFit N30

2 ResMed AirFit N20 — The Versatile All-Rounder

The AirFit N20 covers the nose with a soft, InfinitySeal silicone cushion that adapts to a wide range of face shapes and tolerates higher pressures better than nasal pillows. It offers a more stable, contained seal than the P10 while remaining far less intrusive than a full face mask — a natural middle ground for many users. Magnetic headgear clips make it quick to fit, and it connects to the AirMini via the N20 connector with full HumidX and HumidX Plus support. Available in Small, Medium and Large, plus a For Her version. Best for: nasal breathers who want more seal stability than pillows, moderate-to-higher pressures.

3 ResMed AirTouch N20 — Memory Foam for Sensitive Skin

The AirTouch N20 shares the N20 frame, headgear and AirMini connector, but swaps the silicone cushion for ResMed's UltraSoft memory foam. The foam conforms to the unique contours of your face, distributes contact pressure over a wider surface, and dramatically reduces the red marks and irritation that some users get from silicone. Because it uses the same N20 connector, it is fully HumidX and HumidX Plus compatible. Note that the foam cushion cannot be washed with water and should be replaced roughly monthly — pack a spare for longer trips. Best for: sensitive skin, silicone irritation, users who wake with facial pressure marks.

4 ResMed AirFit N30 — Minimal Nasal Cradle

The AirFit N30 is an under-the-nose nasal cradle mask — a compact interface that sits below the nostrils rather than over the nose, eliminating any pressure on the nasal bridge. It combines much of the minimalism of a nasal pillow mask with the softer, more diffuse seal of a cradle cushion, making it a comfortable, low-contact option for nasal breathers who find full nasal cushions too enclosing. It uses the dedicated N30 connector and supports HumidX and HumidX Plus. Best for: nasal breathers wanting minimal contact, nasal-bridge sensitivity, a quiet low-profile fit.

Full Face Masks: AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 & AirFit F30

5 ResMed AirFit F20 — The Full Face Workhorse

The AirFit F20 is ResMed's best-selling full face mask, sealing over both nose and mouth for users who breathe through their mouth during sleep or have significant nasal congestion. Its InfinitySeal silicone cushion holds a stable seal even at higher pressures, and the soft frame keeps the field of vision clear. It connects via the F20 connector and — unlike the F30 — is compatible with the dedicated HumidX F20 cartridge, so full face users need not give up humidification. Available in S/M/L plus a For Her version. Best for: mouth breathers, higher pressures, all-round full face reliability.

6 ResMed AirTouch F20 — Foam Comfort, Full Face Coverage

The AirTouch F20 shares the F20 frame, headgear and AirMini connector, using UltraSoft memory foam instead of silicone. It is a favourite among full face users with sensitive skin, silicone irritation, or facial hair, where foam often seals more forgivingly. It works with the same F20 connector and HumidX F20 cartridge; as with the AirTouch N20, the foam cushion is wipe-clean only and replaced roughly monthly. Best for: mouth breathers with sensitive skin, beards or facial hair.

7 ResMed AirFit F30 — Minimal-Contact Full Face

The AirFit F30 is a compact, under-the-nose full face mask: its cushion seals around the base of the nose and over the mouth without covering the nasal bridge. This removes the most common full face pressure-sore point, keeps the upper face clear for glasses and reading, and reduces the bulk that puts many people off oronasal masks. It uses its own F30 connector. The one significant trade-off: the F30 is not compatible with any HumidX cartridge, so F30 users run the AirMini without humidification. Best for: mouth breathers who are claustrophobia-prone, wear glasses, or get nasal-bridge soreness.

⚠️ Magnet safety note: The N20, F20 and F30 masks use magnetic headgear clips. Magnetic masks are not recommended for people with certain medical implants — including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, cochlear implants, aneurysm clips and metallic stents — or for those sharing a bed with someone who has such an implant. If this applies to you, consult your physician before choosing a mask.

Masks That Do NOT Work With the AirMini

Just as important as the compatible list is knowing what will not attach. According to ResMed's official mask/device compatibility documentation, the following are not compatible with the AirMini:

  • Top-of-head tube masks — AirFit N30i, P30i, F30i, AirTouch F30i and X30i. Their over-the-head tubing has no AirMini connector.
  • AirFit F40 — ResMed's newest compact full face mask is not AirMini-compatible, despite working on the AirSense 10 and 11.
  • Legacy ResMed masks — AirFit F10, N10, Mirage Quattro, Quattro Air, Swift and other older generations have no AirMini connectors.
  • All masks from other manufacturers — Philips Respironics (including DreamWear), Fisher & Paykel, Löwenstein and BMC masks use the universal 22 mm fitting and cannot attach to the AirMini's proprietary tube.

Third-party universal adaptors (such as the Zephair adaptor) do exist to convert the AirMini tube to a standard hose fitting, allowing almost any mask to connect. Be aware, however, that these adaptors are not officially supported by ResMed, they bypass the HumidX system entirely, and they add bulk that partly defeats the purpose of a travel device. For most users, choosing one of the seven officially supported masks is the more reliable path.

The HumidX filters for ResMed Airmini Auto Travel CPAP machine are old separately.

Humidification: HumidX, HumidX Plus & HumidX F20

Because the AirMini has no water chamber, humidification is handled by HumidX — a small disposable heat-and-moisture exchange (HME) cartridge that sits inside the mask connector. As you exhale, the cartridge captures heat and moisture from your breath; as you inhale, it releases that moisture back into the airflow, easing dry mouth, dry throat and nasal irritation with zero water, zero power draw and zero added weight. There are three variants, and which one you can use depends entirely on your mask:

  • HumidX (standard): for everyday climates. Compatible with the AirFit P10, AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 and AirFit N30.
  • HumidX Plus: higher-output version for dry, high-altitude or aircraft-cabin conditions. Same mask compatibility as standard HumidX (P10, N20, AirTouch N20, N30).
  • HumidX F20: a dedicated cartridge for the full face F20 platform — compatible with the AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 only.
  • AirFit F30: not compatible with any HumidX cartridge. Although the F20 and F30 share the same mask elbow, the F30's cushion design means no HME can be used — F30 users run the AirMini without humidification.

💡 Replacement tip: HumidX cartridges require no cleaning and should be replaced roughly every 30 days after opening (even if not used every night). Unopened cartridges can be safely stored until the expiration date printed on the packaging. If you travel to dry destinations or fly often, keep a HumidX Plus (or a spare HumidX F20 for full face masks) in your travel kit.

Connectors & Setup Packs Explained

Getting your AirMini running comes down to matching three things: the device, the correct connector for your mask, and the AirMini slim tube. ResMed sells these as two kinds of pack, and knowing the difference prevents the single most common purchasing mistake.

1
Pick Your Mask
Choose from the seven compatible interfaces based on breathing style and comfort
2
Match the Connector
Each mask needs its specific connector: P10, N20, N30, F20 or F30
3
Setup Pack or Kit
Full setup pack = mask + tube + connector; connector kit = tube + connector only
4
Add HumidX
Insert the supported cartridge (all masks except the F30)
5
Pair & Fit Check
Connect the AirMini app, set comfort options, and test the seal before travel

⚠️ Ordering tip: The most common AirMini mistake is buying the device and a mask without the connector — the mask will not physically attach to the AirMini tube without it. If you already own a compatible mask, buy just the matching connector kit. If you are starting fresh, a complete setup pack (mask + tube + connector) is the simplest option. The AirFit P10 for AirMini is unusual in that its setup pack is typically bundled with the mask.

Which AirMini Mask Should You Choose?

You breathe through your nose & want minimal contact

Choose the AirFit P10. The lightest, quietest interface with nothing on your face beyond the nostrils — ideal for side sleepers, glasses wearers and anyone who finds larger masks claustrophobic. HumidX and HumidX Plus supported.

You use higher pressures but prefer a nasal mask

Choose the AirFit N20. Its InfinitySeal cushion holds a stable seal at pressures where nasal pillows can start to leak — a reliable step up from the P10 without moving to a full face mask.

You have sensitive skin or wake with red marks

Choose the AirTouch N20 (nasal) or AirTouch F20 (full face). The UltraSoft memory foam spreads contact pressure and reduces irritation. Both remain fully HumidX compatible.

You breathe through your mouth

Choose a full face mask: the AirFit F20 / AirTouch F20 if you want humidification (HumidX F20), or the AirFit F30 if you prioritise minimal contact and can go without.

You wear glasses or feel claustrophobic

Choose the AirFit P10 (nasal) or AirFit F30 (full face). Both keep the upper face clear with the least intrusive fit in their category.

You travel to dry climates or fly often

Choose any HumidX-supported mask and pack a HumidX Plus (P10/N20/N30) or a spare HumidX F20 (F20). Arid destinations and cabin air are exactly where waterless humidification earns its keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which masks are compatible with the ResMed AirMini?

Seven ResMed masks are officially compatible: the AirFit P10 nasal pillow; the AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 and AirFit N30 nasal masks; and the AirFit F20, AirTouch F20 and AirFit F30 full face masks. Each requires its matching AirMini connector. No other masks — including ResMed's top-of-head models and any mask from other brands — connect without an unofficial third-party adaptor.

Can I use my existing CPAP mask with the AirMini?

Only if it is one of the seven compatible ResMed masks — and even then you will need the correct AirMini connector kit, which replaces the standard elbow/tube connection. If your mask is not on the compatible list, the only option is a third-party universal adaptor (such as the Zephair), which lets almost any mask attach but disables HumidX humidification and adds bulk.

Does the AirFit F40 work with the AirMini?

No. Although the AirFit F40 is ResMed's newest compact full face mask and works on the AirSense 10 and 11, it is not compatible with the AirMini according to ResMed's official compatibility list. For a compact full face mask on the AirMini, the AirFit F30 is the closest supported alternative.

Which AirMini masks support humidification?

All compatible masks support HumidX humidification except the AirFit F30. Standard HumidX and HumidX Plus work with the AirFit P10, AirFit N20, AirTouch N20 and AirFit N30. The full face AirFit F20 and AirTouch F20 use the dedicated HumidX F20 cartridge. The AirFit F30 is not compatible with any HumidX cartridge, so it runs without humidification.

What is the difference between HumidX and HumidX Plus?

Both are waterless heat-and-moisture exchange cartridges. Standard HumidX is designed for everyday climates, while HumidX Plus captures more moisture for dry, high-altitude and aircraft-cabin conditions. They share the same mask compatibility (P10, N20, AirTouch N20, N30). If you notice dryness with standard HumidX, or you travel somewhere arid, switch to HumidX Plus.

Do I need a separate connector for each mask?

Yes. The AirMini connector is specific to the mask family — P10, N20, N30, F20 or F30. If you switch between two different mask styles (for example a P10 for warm nights and an F20 when congested), you will need the correct connector for each. The tube itself is shared, but the connector that houses the HumidX cartridge is mask-specific.

Can the AirMini replace my home CPAP machine?

Technically yes — it delivers the same clinically validated AutoSet algorithm across a 4–20 cm H₂O range, and many people use it full-time. In practice, most sleep specialists recommend it as a travel companion rather than a primary device, mainly because of the limited waterless-only humidification, app-only control, and the higher long-term cost of proprietary consumables. For nightly home use, a full-sized machine with a heated humidifier remains more comfortable.

ResMed AirMini Mask Guide End Image

The Bottom Line

The ResMed AirMini proves that clinical-grade sleep apnea therapy no longer has to stay at home — but it rewards buyers who understand its ecosystem first. The mask you choose defines your experience, and your choice is limited to seven officially supported interfaces: the AirFit P10 for minimalist nasal breathers, the N20 / AirTouch N20 / N30 range for those wanting a nasal mask, and the F20 / AirTouch F20 / F30 full face options for mouth breathers.

Whichever you pick, make sure the correct connector or setup pack is part of your order, confirm your HumidX compatibility, and test the complete assembly at home before your first trip. Do that, and your therapy will travel as easily as you do.
