Setup & Use 📘

Place the device on a level surface. If using the humidifier, slide it into the bottom of the unit. Connect the tubing and mask. Press the "On" button. The SmartFlex features are enabled by default for comfort, but you can adjust them in the user menu.

PulseDose™ Humidification

Say goodbye to rainout and dry throats. The optional PulseDose heated humidifier utilizes a unique predictive algorithm to deliver moisture only when you inhale. During exhalation, the device pumps dry air through the tube to clear condensation. This ensures maximum comfort, saves water, and keeps your tubing dry throughout the night, significantly improving the therapy experience.

SmartFlex & Flow Rounding

Comfort is personal, which is why the Blue Auto Plus offers unmatched customization. SmartFlex provides three levels of pressure relief during exhalation to make breathing easier. Meanwhile, Flow Rounding technology softens the transition between inhalation and exhalation with six adjustable levels, preventing the jarring "switching" sensation common in other machines and mimicking your natural breathing waveform.

SmartCode Rx & Data

Managing your therapy has never been easier. The patented SmartCode technology generates a unique encrypted code on the device screen that contains your compliance data. You can simply share this code with your doctor to review your progress. Additionally, SmartCode Rx allows your provider to generate a code that you enter into the machine to remotely update your prescription settings—no modem or SD card required.

The Blue Auto Plus features a highly sensitive algorithm capable of distinguishing between Obstructive Sleep Apnea (airway blockage) and complex events like Central Sleep Apnea. This ensures the machine responds appropriately to every breath, delivering high pressure only when it can effectively treat the obstruction.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The device comes with integrated Bluetooth that connects to the SmartLink app for data tracking. Uniquely, it also supports a connection to a Bluetooth Pulse Oximeter (sold separately), allowing you to record and monitor your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) directly alongside your sleep therapy data.

MaskFit Check

Ensuring a proper seal is vital for effective auto-adjusting therapy. The MaskFit feature runs a quick airflow test to check for leaks before you go to sleep, helping you adjust your mask straps for the optimal fit and preventing disruptive leaks during the night.

Auto Start / Stop

Sensors detect your breathing effort the moment you put on your mask, starting the therapy automatically. When you wake up and remove the mask, the device stops after a few seconds. This eliminates the need to fumble for buttons in the dark.

Compact & Travel Friendly

Designed for life on the move, the DeVilbiss Blue is airline transport approved and features automatic altitude compensation up to 3000m. It can also operate on DC power (including the humidifier), making it an excellent choice for camping or travel.

How does SmartCode work?

SmartCode is a hassle-free way to share data without internet or SD cards.

Go to the report menu on your CPAP screen.
A code (sequence of letters and numbers) will appear.
You share this code with your doctor or enter it into the DeVilbiss compliance website.
The code is instantly decoded into a detailed report of your usage, leaks, and AHI.

Does it come with a heated hose?

The DeVilbiss Blue typically uses standard or performance (15mm) tubing.
However, because of the unique PulseDose humidification technology, a heated hose is often not necessary. By sending a pulse of dry air during exhalation, the machine naturally clears condensation from the tube, effectively solving the "rainout" problem without needing a heated wire in the tube.
