The WatchPAT™ ONE by Itamar Medical is a disposable, single-night home sleep test for people suspected of having sleep apnea. You wear it on your wrist, with a small probe on one finger and a sensor on your chest, and sleep in your own bed. The data is sent to your smartphone and then to our team, and a sleep specialist reviews the recording and sends you a report.

Sleep apnea screening – estimates your Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI) and central apnea index.
Sleep stages – identifies REM, light sleep, deep sleep and wake periods from the PAT® signal.
Snoring and body position – a chest sensor records snoring level and whether you sleep on your back, side or front.
No cables to return – the device is single-use, so there is nothing to send back after the test.

The test takes one night. You get a specialist-reviewed report that shows whether signs of sleep apnea were found and how severe they are, so you can discuss the next steps with your doctor.

Setup & Use 📋

Install the WatchPAT ONE app on your phone before bedtime. At bedtime, insert the AAA battery and open the app – it will guide you through each step. Remove rings, watches and nail polish from your non-dominant hand and trim the nail on the test finger. Strap the device to your non-dominant wrist, attach the chest sensor just below the front of your neck and slide your index finger into the finger probe. Press Start and go to sleep. In the morning, press End Recording, remove the device and keep your phone nearby until the app confirms that all data has been sent.

Für alle Produkte gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistung von 2 Jahren, wie sie in der EU vorgeschrieben ist. Sie deckt Herstellungs- und Materialfehler ab, die innerhalb dieses Zeitraums auftreten. Für CPAP-Masken gilt eine Garantie von 6 Monaten auf Herstellungsfehler. Ausgenommen sind normaler Verschleiß, unsachgemäße Verwendung, fehlerhafte Reinigung sowie versehentliche Beschädigungen.
Für ausgewählte Produkte ist eine Garantieverlängerung auf bis zu 4 Jahre erhältlich.

Mit der 30-Nächte-Passformgarantie können Sie eine geöffnete Maske bis zu zweimal gegen eine andere Größe oder ein anderes Modell umtauschen, wenn sie nicht optimal passt. Dieser Service kann einmal innerhalb von 12 Monaten pro Kunde in Anspruch genommen werden.

Sleep Apnea Testing at Home – On Your Wrist

Skip the waiting list for a sleep lab. The WatchPAT ONE records seven channels while you sleep in your own bed: the PAT® signal from your finger, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, movement, snoring, body position and chest movement. Instead of a nasal cannula and a chest belt, it uses a wrist device, a finger probe and a small chest sensor, which many people find easier to sleep with. After the test, a sleep specialist from our team reviews the recording and prepares a report with your results.

Peripheral Arterial Tone (PAT®) Technology

The finger probe measures tiny changes in blood volume in your fingertip arteries – the PAT® signal. When breathing stops or becomes shallow during sleep, the body reacts and these changes show up in the signal. Together with oxygen saturation and pulse rate, this allows the analysis software to detect breathing events and estimate your AHI without a nasal cannula.

Sleep Stages, Snoring and Body Position

Most home tests only show breathing and oxygen. The WatchPAT ONE also estimates your sleep stages (REM, light, deep and wake), measures snoring level and records your sleeping position. This helps the specialist see, for example, whether your breathing events happen mainly when you sleep on your back or during REM sleep.

Simple Setup with Your Smartphone

The free WatchPAT ONE app guides you step by step: inserting the battery, putting on the device and starting the test. In the morning, you press End Recording and the app sends the data automatically. No cables, no computer and no device to return.

Who is the WatchPAT ONE not suitable for?

The WatchPAT ONE is not suitable for children under 12 or under about 29 kg (65 lbs), for people with a permanent pacemaker (atrial pacing or VVI without sinus rhythm), people with a sustained irregular heart rhythm such as persistent atrial fibrillation, or people taking alpha blockers or short-acting nitrates less than 3 hours before the test. If any of these apply to you, contact us before ordering – a different test may be more appropriate.
