The ResMed ApneaLink Air is a compact, professional-grade home sleep testing (HST) device designed to screen for sleep apnea and other sleep-disordered breathing conditions. Simple to use and clinically validated, it records up to five channels of information, including respiratory effort, pulse, oxygen saturation, nasal flow, and snoring.

  • Comprehensive Screening – Detects central and obstructive apneas, hypopneas, and flow limitations.
  • Cheyne-Stokes Detection – Advanced algorithms identify complex respiratory patterns.
  • One-Touch Operation – Intuitive design makes it easy for patients to set up and use at home.
  • AirView™ Connectivity – Seamlessly uploads data to the cloud for remote clinician analysis.

The ApneaLink Air is the gold standard for affordable, accurate, and comfortable sleep diagnostics in the home environment.

In The Box 📦

Setup & Use 📘

Secure the device to the center of your chest using the elastic belt. Insert the nasal cannula into your nostrils and tape the tubing to your cheeks. Attach the oximeter sensor to your index finger. The "Test Complete" light will illuminate if sufficient data was captured.

Clinical Sleep Diagnostics in the Comfort of Home

Skip the waiting lists for sleep labs with the ResMed ApneaLink Air. This Type III home sleep testing device puts professional diagnostic power in your hands. It provides a cost-effective and convenient way to determine if you are suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). By recording key physiological data while you sleep in your own bed, it captures a more natural sleep profile than traditional hospital studies, leading to accurate diagnosis and faster access to therapy.

5-Channel Respiratory Analysis

The ApneaLink Air goes beyond basic screening. It records five distinct channels of data: respiratory effort (via a chest belt), nasal airflow (via cannula), oxygen saturation (via pulse oximeter), pulse rate, and snoring. This comprehensive data collection allows sleep specialists to calculate your AHI (Apnea-Hypopnea Index) with precision and determine the severity of your condition.

Cheyne-Stokes Probability Detection

Unlike basic screeners, the ApneaLink Air features sophisticated algorithms capable of detecting Cheyne-Stokes Respiration (CSR). This is a specific breathing pattern often associated with heart failure or central sleep apnea. By identifying these complex patterns, the device helps clinicians distinguish between simple obstructive apnea and more complex respiratory issues.

User-Friendly Design

Designed specifically for unassisted home use, the device eliminates confusion. It features a simple one-button Start/Stop operation. Integrated test-complete indicator lights turn green to let you know when the device has successfully recorded enough data for a valid diagnosis, preventing the need for re-testing due to user error.

Features

Lightweight & Wearable

The compact unit straps comfortably around the chest over clothing or pajamas. It is lightweight and unobtrusive, ensuring it interferes as little as possible with your natural sleeping position.

AirView™ Cloud Support

The device integrates with ResMed’s AirView software. This allows healthcare providers to download and analyze your sleep data remotely, speeding up the time between the test and the diagnosis.

Visual Sensor Checks

Before you go to sleep, the device provides visual feedback on the connection status. LED indicators confirm that the nasal cannula, chest belt, and oximeter are all attached correctly, ensuring a successful study.

High-Resolution Pulse Oximetry

Includes a reusable soft-sensor pulse oximeter that tracks blood oxygen levels and heart rate throughout the night, identifying desaturations that indicate airway blockages.

Detailed Clinical Reporting

The device generates a clear, one-page summary report for clinicians, displaying AHI, leakage, oxygen desaturation index (ODI), and flow limitation, making interpretation straightforward.

Internal Memory Storage

Capable of recording up to 48 hours of data, allowing for multi-night studies if required by a physician to ensure consistent data trends.
