Stabilizing Complex Breathing

Intelligent PaceWave algorithms, ASVAuto stabilization, and integrated humidification — designed specifically for Central Sleep Apnea and Cheyne-Stokes respiration.

PaceWave™ Algorithm

For patients with unstable breathing rhythms, PaceWave provides a safety net. This advanced algorithm monitors your minute ventilation in real-time. If it detects that your breathing effort has dropped (a central event), it rapidly increases pressure support to "breathe for you," ensuring you get the oxygen you need. As soon as your own breathing effort returns, the support gently backs off, providing a seamless and natural experience.

ASVAuto Stabilization

The device treats multiple issues simultaneously using ASVAuto mode. It stabilizes your upper airway by automatically adjusting the Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure (EPAP) to prevent obstructions (snoring or obstructive apnea). At the same time, it adjusts Pressure Support to stabilize your ventilation, ensuring you are neither under-ventilated nor over-ventilated throughout the night.

Vsync Leak Management

Precise ventilation requires a stable circuit, but mask leaks are common. ResMed’s Vsync technology monitors the leak flow breath-by-breath and automatically compensates for it. This is critical for ASV therapy, as it ensures the machine triggers (starts a breath) and cycles (ends a breath) in perfect sync with your needs, even if your mask shifts or leaks during the night.

Climate Control Ready

When paired with the optional ClimateLineAir™ Heated Tube, the system's Climate Control feature unlocks. It automatically detects the temperature of the room and adjusts the humidity output to keep the air warm and moist without allowing condensation (rainout) to form in the hose.

Easy-Breathe Waveform

The pressure delivery mimics the wave shape of your natural breathing. By replicating your natural inhalation and exhalation curve, the device ensures that the mechanical breaths feel smooth and comfortable, rather than forced or jarring, helping you sleep through the interventions.

What is the difference between ASV and BiPAP?

ASV (Adaptive Servo-Ventilation) is designed for Central Sleep Apnea, where the brain stops signaling the body to breathe. The ASV machine effectively "learns" your breathing rhythm and will actively deliver a breath if you stop breathing, keeping you safe and stable.

Yes, it uses a standard 22mm connection and works with most CPAP masks.
