The device is "Plug and Play." Connect the hose and mask, plug in the power, and simply breathe into the mask to start. Data is stored on the SD card, which can be reviewed by your doctor or via the prisma APP for patient insights.

You can return any unopened and unused product within 30 days of delivery. Due to health and hygiene standards, opened masks and mask parts cannot be returned under this standard policy.

Does the prisma SMART detect central sleep apnea?

Yes, this is one of its strongest features.

Using the Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT), the device sends small flow signals to the airway during a pause in breathing.

If the airway is open but you aren't breathing, it identifies a Central event and does not increase pressure (which would be uncomfortable).

If the airway is closed, it identifies an Obstructive event and increases pressure to open it.

Does it come with a heated hose?

The standard prisma SMART typically uses a standard (non-heated) 15mm or 22mm tube. However, a specific heated tube option (prismaHYBERNITE) is available for patients who struggle with condensation.The device's humidifier is highly efficient, but if you sleep in a very cold room, adding a hose cover or upgrading to the heated tube system can prevent "rainout" (water in the mask).

Is the prisma SMART compatible with all CPAP masks?

Yes, the Löwenstein prisma SMART uses a standard 22mm hose connection, making it fully compatible with any CPAP mask on the market, regardless of the brand (ResMed, Philips, BMC, etc.).
