Choosing the right mask type
A CPAP mask delivers pressurised air through the nose, the mouth and nose together, or the nose alone via small pillows. The right choice depends on how you sleep and breathe, not on which model sells the most.
Full-face
Covers nose and mouth. Suits mouth breathers and back sleepers who need higher pressure delivered reliably.
Nasal
Covers the nose only, with a frame and headgear. A common middle-ground choice for nose breathers.
Nasal pillows
Small cushions seal at the nostrils. Minimal contact and a wide field of view, but less suited to higher pressures.

Check your mask's manual before cleaning it: some parts (headgear, connector, cushion) can usually be wiped with mild soap and water, while others should never be exposed to certain chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners.
